The Heart of Cooking
Location: South Florida, USA
THE ASK
Baptist Health and Foodie Tribe collaborated for the second year in a row to raise awareness of Baptist Health’s heart health services and expertise during American Heart Month through “The Heart of Cooking”, an interactive cooking event focused on educating attendees about heart health while demonstrating how to cook a three-course, heart healthy meal! The purpose of the event was to host a fun and hands-on afternoon of community, education, and an incredible cooking demonstration to help bring attention to the importance and attainability of heart health, which significantly contributes to Baptist Health’ positioning as a trusted resource for heart health information.
At this event, attendees were able to ask questions and interact with Baptist Health experts to further their understanding of the importance and dynamics of heart health. The following Baptist Health professionals participated in The Heart of Cooking event:
Dr. Tom C. Nguyen: Director of Minimally Invasive Valve Surgery and Chief Medical Executive of Baptist Health Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute
Dr. Adedapo “Dapo” Iluyomade: Preventive Cardiologist at Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute
WHAT WE DID
Foodie Tribe led the influencer marketing efforts for the second inaugural Heart of Cooking event in collaboration with Baptist Health. The agency supported the brand by designing and creating promotional materials, curating an exclusive invitation list, and managing all influencers and chefs involved in The Heart of Cooking.
This initiative was a resounding success thanks to partnering with Chef Mika Leon (@mikabites), a well-known local South Florida chef, and Chef Brad Delgado (@chefbrad), a popular Miami-based chef and internet personality; their collaboration on the three-course menu and day-of cooking demonstration brought so much life, fun, and energy to the event and heavily contributed to the amazing atmosphere! Foodie Tribe not only secured Chef Mika' and Chef Brad;s involvement, but also collaborated on the development of three unique, heart-healthy recipes and the execution of engaging content for the campaign.
Foodie Tribe also invited 17 creators to attend The Heart of Cooking and create content showcasing this incredibly important event, including the valuable information that was shared by Baptist Health experts and the delicious heart healthy recipes created by Chef Mika and Chef Brad. The goal of working with these creators was to leverage their reach and local credibility to share their experience at The Heart of Cooking with their followers while also positioning Baptist Health as a reputable institution. The main call-to-action was to encourage others to prioritize their heart health by embracing a health-focused diet and scheduling an appointment for a heart scan at a Baptist Health facility.
The Heart of Cooking event was a huge success! Attendees left with full stomachs, feeling empowered and inspired to make healthier choices for their heart health, and energized by the incredible energy Chef Mika and Chef Brad brought to the event.
