THE ASK

February is American Heart Month, and in 2024, Baptist Health focused on spreading awareness through an interactive cooking demonstration event called The Heart of Cooking. The purpose of the event was to host a fun and interactive evening to help spread awareness around the importance of heart health, ultimately positioning Baptist Health as a trusted resource for heart health information.  

This event allowed attendees to ask questions and interact with Baptist Health experts further to enhance their understanding of the importance of heart health.

  • Amy Kimberlain: RDN, LDN, CDCES, a registered, licensed dietitian and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist at Baptist Health

  • Dr. Tom C. Nguyen: Director of Minimally Invasive Valve Surgery and Chief Medical Executive of Baptist Health Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute

  • Dr. Gina Landinez: Diagnostic and Interventional Radiologist at Miami Cancer Institute and Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute

  • Dr. Adedapo “Dapo” Iluyomade: Preventive Cardiologist at Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute

WHAT WE DID

Foodie Tribe spearheaded the marketing efforts for The Heart of Cooking by creating promotional materials, designing the event's logo, curating an invite list, and managing communication with participants working on The Heart of Cooking. This initiative was a resounding success thanks to partnering with well-known local South Florida chef, @mikabites (Chef Mika). Foodie Tribe not only secured Chef Mika's involvement, but also collaborated on the development of three unique recipes and the execution of engaging content for the campaign.

Foodie Tribe invited 13 creators to attend the Heart of Cooking event and create content centered around the valuable information that was shared by Baptist Health experts. The goal was to leverage the influencer's reach and credibility to share their experience and knowledge gained from the event with their followers, further spreading awareness and encouraging others to prioritize their heart health.

The event was a huge success! Attendees left feeling empowered and inspired to make healthier choices for their heart health.
