Instagram to Launch Story Drafts

Instagram creatively tweeted last month that Story Drafts will be coming soon. What this means is that users will be able to edit Stories by saving what they’ve started to their drafts without losing any of the changes they’ve made. This allows users to prepare Stories in advance, so that they can post them at a later time (and add any changes to the original drafts, if necessary). 

Adam Mosseri, the Head of Instagram, said that Story Drafts have been one of the most requested features by Instagram users. Mosseri tweeted on March 23, “You asked and we’re delivering… stories drafts coming soon.” 

Of course, users can currently save a Story draft to their camera roll, but the feature will soon be native to Instagram. The new feature will hopefully make the Stories creation process more flexible and fluid.

Instagram has yet to announce the exact date of when Story Drafts will be launching, but keep an eye out, as it could be helpful to you. Whether you’re an influencer, a brand, or an avid Instagram user, Story Drafts can both save you time and improve your creative process.
