Influencer Spotlight: October 2021

Meet Rachel, from @recipeswithrach

How long have you been a Foodie Tribe member?

A couple months! I love working with Foodie Tribe! 💕

How did you get into influencer marketing?

I got into influencer marketing through a friend who told me about it! I was amazed at the various opportunities to connect brands with influencers. I believe Influencer Marketing is the future, as social media is such a big part of our lives now! People gravitate towards bright, quality content, so it is my goal to deliver my best as an influencer.

What has been your favorite Foodie Tribe campaign that you've worked on and why?

I loved working with Foodie Tribe on the Pasturebird campaign! This was my first campaign with Foodie Tribe, and the whole process went seamlessly! I also love how Pasturebird makes pasture-raised chicken accessible to all through their amazing product packages and nationwide delivery. The chicken was delicious and I had a great time creating a chicken katsu recipe featuring Pasturebird chicken.

Tell us a fun fact!

Another one of my passions is singing! I was in an a cappella group in college, and it was such a fun experience 😊

What inspired you to start your account?
I started this account in 2018 when I was in Calgary for a work rotation. That was the first time I had ever lived alone (always had roommates in college and family nearby), so it was an exciting time for me to learn true-adulting. Naturally, I started cooking more, and @recipeswithrach was born 🥳 I have been back in Houston now for 2 years and it’s been fun rediscovering my city!

What is your favorite thing about being a part of Foodie Tribe?

My favorite thing about being in Foodie Tribe is getting connected with a variety of amazing brands to work with and connecting with a community of other foodie influencers!

Anything else you want to share?

I am currently balancing my 9 to 5 with my foodie account, so you will always find me cooking up a storm on weekends! It’s definitely a balancing act, but I love being busy and giving everything I do my all.

Meet Cindy, from @theyummygeek

How long have you been a part of Foodie Tribe?

Since its launch!

How did you get into Influencer Marketing?

It sort of happened as the years went by, and I slowly started to find my niche.

What has been your favorite Foodie Tribe campaign that you've worked on and why?

The Florida Milk Valentines Day Campaign. I featured my Red Velvet and Strawberry Mousse Pancakes. I love making Pancakes. It was one of the first meals that I prepared with my daughter and since then it has become a Saturday tradition. To be able to share that with others was a great experience

Tell us a fun fact about yourself!

I love to cosplay! My husband and I have been going to comic, anime, and all-things-geek conventions since 2006, and would always cosplay some of our favorite characters. My daughter has even joined in the cosplay fun and she loves it!

What inspired you to start your account?

We realized we never used many of our cookbooks from our enormous collection. We decided to select a different one each week, photograph and write about the dishes we made, and share it on social media. To date, we have featured nearly 200 cookbooks on our feed.

What is your favorite thing about being a part of Foodie Tribe?

My favorite part about Foodie Tribe is being part of a community of diverse creators who are so unique and that are all about working together.

Anything else you want to add?

Because of my love for Cosplay and Food, I launched #FoodandCosplay 2 years ago, where I incorporate some of my favorite characters from geek culture with some of my favorite dishes from local restaurants. It adds a fun twist to the dishes while still highlighting the importance of supporting local businesses. It’s even more fun when the chef or owner joins in the cosplay fun!
