How to Diversify the Impact of Influencer Marketing on a Budget

At Foodie Tribe, we work with budgets of all sizes. We know your budget isn’t always negotiable and we want to provide you with the opportunity to stretch it as much as possible. Here are a few ways we can foster successful partnerships through limited resources while yielding unlimited results.

Repost User-Generated Content

Don’t make the mistake of paying for content you already have at your disposal. If you are selling a product or service with an already loyal audience, ask for their permission to repost and share on your own social media profiles. If you do not already have this content being created for you, make efforts to promote your audience to share their experiences with your brand. One effective method to incentivize your audience to create content for you is giving special discounts or offers to those who provide your favorite pieces of content.

Work with Micro-Influencers

The most tried and true method of diversifying your influencer marketing budget is to diversify the influencers you work with. While well-known accounts with large followings may seem the most ideal to partner with, their rates will reflect it. Instead, you can opt to make multiple deals with smaller influencers. Thinking quality over quantity will allow you to reach more audiences within your budget and get more specific with your targeted demographic and psychographics.

Take Advantage of Non-Traditional Methods

While static posts within an influencer’s Instagram feed may be the standard of influencer marketing, feel free to ask for alternative methods of brand exposure. Influencers often have multiple revenue streams sourced from throughout multiple social media platforms like Twitter, TikTok, YouTube, and independent blogs. Ask about the pricing of platforms and find out if those are within your budget.

Be Inclusive Instead of Exclusive

Instead of asking for content exclusively created and sponsored by your brand, ask to be included within content already being made. Some ideas could include getting your product included within the ingredients list of a recipe blog post or being featured within a monthly favorites Instagram live series. While this method may not result in immediate and significant sales, it does allow your brand to build familiarity among the influencer’s audience without using too many resources.

Whether you decided to combine all these methods to make up your entire budget or add a few on top of an existing campaign, we hope you took away some ideas that help save money without sacrificing quality.
